Moments after birth – very proud daddy!
Rocking our little bundle – notice the oxygen tube. We hardly even remember what that was like now, but it definitely ruled our house for the months that we had it. Blasted thing.
A few moments without the oxygen. Dad had to snap a picture. He looked like such a different boy to us when he didn’t have his oxygen on.
Our little bug! Rob started calling Zane “Bug” right after he was born and it has definitely stuck. So what else could he be for Halloween but a bug! My mom helped me with the costume. Turned out pretty good :)
We spent Thanksgiving with Rob’s family in California. It was wonderful and Zane didn’t need his oxygen at all! Rob was so happy about that!
First Christmas!! Daddy helped Zane open all his presents.
We are a happy family!
Meeting a new friend.
Zane had surgery to divide his uni-toe in March. When he woke up he was very sad and the one thing that he wanted was his daddy. Rob came up from work to hold him and Zane was so happy. He really loves his dad and knew Dad would make him feel better.
We went to Seattle in April for my Grandpa’s funeral. We took Zane to Whidbey Island, a place my Grandpa loved, and showed him the Puget Sound. I love this picture.
We finally got to take Zane to church in May. No more switching off every other week to go to church. The RSV season was over and Zane had stayed so healthy. We are so grateful for that. He looks very handsome in his suit.
We took Zane to Zion’s National Park and did some hiking. We did Angel’s Landing. Rob carried him the whole way up (not out to the the very tip though). The little guy was tuckered out!
This picture was taken on my birthday. Rob totally spoiled me. Aside from being a wonderful father, he is also the best husband!
Zane’s birthday! Still such a proud daddy!
I meant to do this post on Rob’s birthday but I had technical difficulties. Rob, I love you. You are amazing. This year has been so fun, to watch you become the incredible, involved, loving father that you have always wanted to be. And that I knew you would be! I am so lucky to have you as my partner in life and as my best friend. Happy late Birthday! What a great year!
