Zane had his one year check-up yesterday. He is a healthy, long, lean boy. He only weighs 16 pounds 2 ounces, but he is in the 22% for weight so that is fine with us. He is in the 76% for height at about 30 inches. The doctor suggested possibly "power packing" his food and gave me a packet to read about it. Basically it is just adding butter, oil and sugar to things so that he gets more calories. We will see how that goes.
They had to draw his blood to test his thyroid levels and he stuck his lower lip out so far, but didn't cry too much. He was very brave for his shots too. When he doesn't cry much it makes it so much easier for me. I hate taking him to get his shots.
We are also starting to work on helping Zane sleep through the night (he still likes to get up once in the night and nurse). Now Rob goes in instead of me (so there is no option to nurse) and comforts him and lays him back in his crib. Zane is such a good boy. I am sure he will get it soon.
Wow, one year. Crazy. We are so grateful to have such a happy, healthy, beautiful boy.
